October is National Dental Hygiene Awareness Month. But, what does this mean? Well, there are two parts to it. First, it is the awareness of proper dental hygiene. And second, it is the awareness of and an appreciation for your hardworking dental hygienists. Here at Ledbetter Family Dental Care, we have 3 outstanding dental hygienists and we want to take this time to highlight them so that you can get to know them better!
First, we have Leah Aldridge. Leah graduated from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in 2009. She joined our Ledbetter Family Dental Care team in 2013. She attends Faith SBC in Dickson where she enjoys singing on the praise and worship team. She and her husband Stacy live in Dickson and love spending time with their three children, J.D., Landon, and Jess. “What I love most about being a dental hygienist is that I love helping our patients. I want to be sure they have a beautiful smile.”
Next, we have Sheri Morris. Sheri grew up in Ardmore, graduating from Plainview High School and then eventually the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center with a degree in Dental Hygiene in 2012. She lives in Ringling with her husband and three children. Sheri began working with Dr. Ledbetter in 2016. She is an active member of Ringling First Baptist Church, serving as a youth leader for the past year. She enjoys baking and attending her children’s sporting events. “Working at Ledbetter Family Dental Care has been a rewarding experience. Dr. Ledbetter always makes sure our patients have a positive experience. My favorite part about working here is giving our patients a smile they can’t resist. I highly recommend our practice to anyone.”
Last, we have Gena Lawson. Gina was born and raised in the Oklahoma City area but has always felt that Ardmore and the Lake Murray area is her home. She graduated in 1999 from Amarillo College and started her career in Dental Hygiene in Ardmore that same year. Gina is passionate about dental health and truly cares about providing patients the experience of good dental care and the feeling of a great smile. Some of her personal interests are her family, friends, gardening, and pretty much anything that involves the outdoors! “My favorite part about working here is when our patients leave with a smile on their face because they received amazing care and had a positive experience. I love interacting with our patients. They are the best part of my day.”
